In the irresistibly sexy series from #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout, two free spirits find their lives changed by a one-night stand…
Some things you just believe in, even if you've never experienced them. For Stephanie, that list includes love. It's out there. Somewhere. Eventually. Meanwhile she's got her job at the mixed martial arts training center and hot flings with gorgeous, temporary guys like Nick. Then a secret brings them closer, opening Steph's eyes to a future she never knew she wanted—until tragedy rips it away.
Nick's self-assured surface shields a past no one needs to know about. His mind-blowing connection with Steph changes all that. As fast as he's knocking down the walls that have kept him commitment-free, she's building them up again, determined to keep the hurt—and Nick—out. But he can't walk away. Not when she's the only one who's ever made him wish for forever . . .

I’m never disappointed when I read a JLA book, especially when it comes to this series. What can I say? The woman knows how to write a romance well. Not only that? She also does Realistic Fiction so well. Add to that her ability to create truly emotional and touching scenes that aren’t at all cheesy or forced, she’s one heck of a talented writer. Jen is able to take a serious subject and spin it just right so that I don’t end up giving the book an eye roll. Forever With You is a great addition to this series and I loved jumping back into this world and seeing some of my favorite characters again, seeing where they’re at in their lives right now.

I’ll tell you honestly, I don’t remember much of Stephanie, if anything at all, from the previous books. Most of the time when I’m reading, my main focus is on the main characters, or perhaps, the immediate secondary characters, if they’re memorable enough. She just never stood out to me. Regardless, when given her own book, I ended up liking her a lot and connected to her easily. Usually, you have someone who is jaded when it comes to love, so they swear off of it, but that’s not the case here and I appreciated that immensely. It’s nice to have a character who just never happened to fall in love and couldn’t care about it either way. She believes in it yes, but she’s a woman with needs and I liked her mindset when it came to getting what she wanted from guys. I liked her even more when things got serious with Nick and how she handled it all. And then when the inevitable happened, as I could see it coming a mile away, I totally connected with her and how she felt. Yes, I saw it coming, which I don’t usually mind as not much surprises me nowadays, but seeing how Nick and Stephanie handled it was what really made the book for me. Watching them deal with it all and seeing them navigate a relationship when they’re both fairly new at it, it was fun.

As for Nick, while he wasn’t my favorite guy in the series, he’s not bad. He pulled a couple jerk moves here and there, but he also pulled a lot of considerate and sweet moves, too. When his secret finally came out, it was kind of crazy, and explained a lot about how he acted around his friends and girls in general. I liked getting to know him better and Stephanie was definitely a good balance for his character.

So yes, if you already love JLA and this series, you’ll want to grab this one quickly and I’m sure you’ll devour it just as well. Stephanie and Nick’s story is strong and engaging. I really enjoyed it. And, if you love the other characters in the series, you’ll be happy to see how they all are now and how they intermix. Another winner from JLA, for sure.
